Most Wins in the Hip-Hop Category Male or Female [8]

Nicki Minaj makes history at the 2024 BET Awards with the most wins in the “Best Hip-Hop Artist,” category for a male or female with 8 overall wins; and the most female nominations with 14. This news comes as the super star is in the midst of her “Pink Friday 2,” world tour, as she was unable to accept her award in person. Minaj was in good company for the contest as Cardi B, Latto, Doja Cat, Ice Spice, Glorilla, Megan Thee Stallion and Sexxy Red were all nominated.

Kendrick Lamar won the “Best Male Hip-Hop Artist,” award making it his 7th in the category. Drake is up next with 4 wins, but is the leader in overall nominations with 15.
